This condominium project was built in 1970 and is still a unique development consisting of 57 flats and townhouse units on 1.4 acres. It features roof gardens and a landscaped central court. The Esplanade was built right into the hillside, following the contour of the land; was built to maximize views of the Hudson River and Palisades from many apartments; allowed residents the maximum amount of private outdoor space within a very dense environment; nurtured the sense of community by designing a communal courtyard, swimming pool and BBQ play area.
